THE PODCAST

The Soul of a Woman Speaks

Stories of Love, Loss & Lessons Learned

Some things a woman carries in her heart long before she ever finds the words to say them out loud.

Welcome to a faith-centered podcast hosted by Dr. Patricia Shaw, where women are given permission to have honest conversations about the things we love, the things we’ve lost, the things that broke us, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.

This is where faith meets real life.

Where we talk about the marriage. The heartbreak. The grief. The relationship that changed you. The silence nobody prepared you for. The prayer that hasn’t been answered the way you expected. The woman you used to be. And the woman you’re discovering now.

Biblical truth, hard-earned wisdom, healing, hope—and the occasional reminder that sometimes you have to straighten your crown, wipe your tears, and keep walking.

Because when the soul of a woman finally speaks, healing can begin.

WHY THIS PODCAST?

Because Silence Has a Sound

I created The Soul of a Woman Speaks because I understand what it means for life to change without asking your permission. I understand what it means to be the strong woman everyone expects to keep going while your own soul is whispering:

“But what about me?”

And I understand that sometimes healing begins not with having all the answers, but with finally being willing to tell the truth about what hurts. This podcast is my invitation for women to do exactly that.

SEASON ONE

When the Silence Is Loud

What happens when everything becomes quiet—but your soul has so much to say?

And I understand that sometimes healing begins not with having all the answers, but with finally being willing to tell the truth about what hurts. This podcast is my invitation for women to do exactly that.

The familiar voices changed.

The routines changed.

The house changed.

And somewhere in the silence, I had to begin discovering who Patricia was in this new chapter. This season explores the conversations that happen after life changes—grief, love, loneliness, identity, faith, relationships, memories, moving forward, and the complicated emotions that come when you’re learning how to live while still honoring what you’ve lost.

This season isn’t about forgetting. It isn’t about “getting over it.” And it certainly isn’t about pretending everything is fine because you’re a woman of faith.

It’s about learning to breathe again.

FEATURED EPISODE

Episode One: Learning to Breathe Again

There are moments in life that divide your story into two parts:

Before. ⸺ And after.

What do you do when life after doesn’t look anything like the life you planned?

How do you keep believing when you’re grieving?

How do you honor the love you had without believing that your own life ended when theirs did?

In this deeply personal opening episode, I share what it means to begin the journey of breathing again—not because the loss no longer matters, but because your life still does.

THIS SPACE IS FOR YOU

Pull Up a Chair, Sis.

This podcast is for the woman who has ever whispered:

“Nobody really knows how much I’m carrying.”

It’s for the woman grieving someone she loved.

The woman grieving a relationship that ended.

The woman grieving the future she thought she would have.

The woman who has spent years taking care of everyone else and is finally asking who she is now.

The woman whose faith is still intact, but whose heart is tired.

The woman who wants to love again but doesn’t want to lose herself again.

And especially the woman learning to breathe again. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you pull up a chair.

Come exactly as you are.

FROM MY SOUL TO YOURS

Some Things Can Only Be Shared

Woman to Woman

There are things I can teach you as a coach. There are things I can share with you as an author. There are things I can preach or teach from a platform.

But there are also things that can only be shared woman to woman. Heart to heart. Soul to soul. That’s what this podcast is.

I’m not sitting behind a microphone because I have mastered every chapter of life. I’m sitting here because I’ve lived enough chapters to know that God can still write something beautiful after the page you thought was the ending.

I’ve loved deeply.

I’ve experienced loss deeply.

I’ve laughed.

I’ve cried.

I’ve questioned.

I’ve prayed.

I’ve had to rediscover pieces of myself.

And I’m still becoming.

So when you listen, I hope you don’t simply hear my story. I hope somewhere in mine, you find permission to tell yours.tell the truth.

THE JOURNEY

Pull Up a Chair, Sis.

Love

We will celebrate it, examine it, learn from it, and talk about what healthy love requires.

Because love should add to who you are—not require you to disappear.

Loss

We will make room for grief without allowing grief to become the end of the story. Some losses never become insignificant.

We simply learn how to carry love differently.

Lessons

We will take the wisdom with us. Because even painful chapters can teach us something about God, ourselves, relationships, boundaries, and purpose.

And what we will choose differently next time.

Love gave us memories. Loss changed us.

Lessons help us become.

WATCH. LISTEN. JOIN THE CONVERSATION.

However You Join Me, Just Come

New episodes bring you heartfelt solo conversations, biblical encouragement, personal reflections, practical wisdom, and meaningful conversations with women who have stories worth hearing.

Listen while you’re driving.

Watch while you’re having your morning coffee.

Put your headphones on and take me on your walk.

Or sit somewhere quiet with your journal and give yourself permission to feel what comes up.

HAVE A STORY TO TELL?

Your Story May Be Someone Else’s Permission to Heal

Some of the most powerful conversations happen when one woman has the courage to say:

“This happened to me too.”

If you have experienced a journey involving love, loss, healing, relationships, faith, reinvention, or finding purpose after pain, I’d love to hear about it. You may have a story that belongs at this table.
